In this video, David Chiaramonti (RE-CORD), coordinator of BIO4A project, provides a precious overview on the legal and policy frameworks in which BIO4A project is making the difference.
BIO4A aims at producing ASTM-certified sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) at a large-scale pre-commercial production with an eye on R&D activities, under development by RE-CORD, CCE and EC/JRC Ispra.
The project is addressing several challenges of the EU society, which are in line with the indications of most prominent EU and international regulations and reports: greener aviation fuels at commercial scale (by using residual lipids UCO) and recovery of marginal/abandoned lands (vs desertification and climate change) thanks also to sustainable agricultural practices.
