The European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) has recently published the European Aviation Environmental Report 2019.
The aim of the report is to focus on “an objective, clear and accurate source of information on the environmental performance of the aviation sector at the European level every three years.”
Hence, among several sub-topics, the report covers the Sustainable Aviation Fuels, considering bio-based aviation fuels, the production capacity at global level and a specific paragraph on sustainable aviation fuels.
On this, sustainable aviation fuels are described for the potential to make an important contribution to mitigate current and expected future environmental impacts of aviation.
